Divine Terror

Here is my poem from the April deal of Poetry Poker from The Poetry Cafe on Deviantart. I am behind! Mother’s Day and the end of the school year is getting to me.

April’s Poetry Poker Deal
Deal on Poetry Café: sneaky, disgust, shock, terror, tension

Divine Terror
It feeds a subtle tension
A hum that sneaks
Under the skin
And breeds for weeks
That mood you’re in

It becomes a certain disgust
Distinguished cuisine
With doubts in the crust
And a shocking scene
Served with breakfast

Then divine terror reigns
A painted god
With golden wings
Who merely nods
While insanity sings
